Job Description:
A company is looking for a Coding Specialist Educator.
Key Responsibilities
Guide orientation and ongoing education for healthcare
professionals in coding and documentation
Conduct and analyze periodic audits to ensure accuracy in coding
processes and provide reeducation as necessary
Serve as a knowledge resource for coding systems, regulations, and
reimbursement requirements
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED with college-level coding courses in
IDC, CPT4, and HCPCS
Minimum of 2 years of experience in Coding
AHIMA or AAPC Coding Credential required upon hire
Successful completion of a medical terminology course preferred
Previous experience with EPIC and knowledge of insurance billing
preferred
