Job Description:
A company is looking for a Prior Authorization Specialist to
obtain pre-certifications and pre-authorizations for procedures and
medications.
Key Responsibilities
Obtain timely prior authorization or pre-determinations from
various insurance plans
Select and gather accurate medical records and patient information
from EMR
Document all prior authorizations and follow-ups in the company
software or EMR
Required Qualifications and Education
High School Diploma or GED
1+ year of experience in an office setting, preferably in
healthcare
Familiarity with medical terminology, especially in Oncology
Basic computer literacy
Ability to work well in a team and be a self-starter
